Just a small cut to conjure up great things
You are looking for a sturdy, large branch that is close to the ground. There you lift about four to five centimeters deep the earth off, and add them humus at. About 10 cm below the last leaf, cut into the branch about two centimeters long. It should not bend and should keep its shape if possible. Use a match or stone to push the notch apart.

Put the prepared branch on the bottom of the dug hole and cover with humus. Then sprinkle with water. When raking the soil later, take care not to damage the branch and not to interrupt the growth.
Green thumb and a little patience
Check the freshly grown offshoot for root growth in spring. With a little luck, roots will already have formed. Now the new rhododendron offshoot can carefully use a Secateurs separated from the mother plant. The sprout will now grow by itself and may be replanted.
As soon as the little garden offspring is in place, you should let it rest. Then in time it will best put down roots. And when one day it is fully grown, you can move a new rhododendron offshoot from it.
Tips & Tricks
The new rhododendron doesn't like calcareous soil either. You should definitely take this into account when determining the location. It is also best to use the soil at least two to three times a year nutrient-containing fertilizer to supply. This ensures healthy growth and guarantees lush flowers.
