Why is spinach so healthy?
Spinach is packed with vitamins and nutrients. For example, its iron content is higher than in other salads and cabbage plants. Vitamin C, calcium, magnesium, vitamins E and K, potassium, calcium, zinc, beta carotene and lutein are also on the list of its ingredients. The antioxidants also contained can help the body fight off various diseases.

Using Spinach in Cooking
Spinach can be cooked in a number of ways. Raw or cooked, it is easy to digest and can be combined with other vegetables, with potatoes and pasta, with meat and fish or as a pizza topping. If you only ever use the old recipes, you should try spinach salad or a spinach juice or try a green smoothie with spinach. This preparation option is a great and, above all, a healthy change.
Juice the spinach
Spinach juice is a low-calorie and nutrient-rich food supplement that quickly supplies the body with many vitamins and nutrients. Gentle juicing is recommended so that the nutrients are retained during juice extraction. A juicer is suitable for this, which slowly squeezes the vegetables with rollers or screws.
- Buy the spinach as fresh as possible or harvest it in your own garden.
- Sort the leaves, that is, wilted and mushy leaves and thick stems are removed.
- Wash the leaves thoroughly under running water.
- Drain the spinach well.
- Gradually add a handful of leaves to the press for juicing.
- Collect the juice and process it immediately.
Fresh spinach juice is sensitive, it oxidizes quickly and shouldn't be left in the refrigerator for too long. It is best to drink the juice immediately or to process it immediately.
The juice can be combined well with other juices, for example grapefruit juice.
Of course, you can also freeze your spinach juice. Freezing in the ice cube tray is practical. So you always have the option of adding a small portion of spinach juice to food or drinks.
