Location
You should place your zinc tub in a sheltered location. Whether the herbs get direct sunlight or rather in the Penumbra depends on your selection. Because of their origin, Mediterranean herbs prefer the blazing sun.
A great advantage of the zinc tub as a garden bed is that snails have a hard time getting to the plants. A zinc tub is therefore a recommended alternative to a raised bed.
Harvest herbs
Many herbs are perennial and, if properly cared for, will provide you with long-term care. However, if they begin to bloom or overgrow one another, you should cut the plants back hard and think about another zinc tub. Only harvest as large quantities as you need at the moment. It would be a shame to dispose of the herbs. If you miscalculate the portion, you can make the herbs durable by freezing or drying them.
