The best time to plant a bird hedge is October and November, provided that the shrub species are deciduous. Evergreen specimens, on the other hand, should be planted in the summer months of August or September. Make sure that you comply with the minimum distances to the neighboring property as stipulated in state law.

• Enrich the excavation with compost
• Leave a distance of 1.5 m between individual plants
