Sooty mildew is caused by aphids

Simply wash off the base. Fight all aphids to prevent them from leaving any more excretions.

Root rot is caused by waterlogging

If many leaves turn yellow or brown, waterlogging can be the cause. The root ball is then always too damp or there is more water in the saucer.

Fight red spiders

Try washing the aphids off the palm with a hard shower spray. Remove residues with a soft sponge.

Then treat the hemp palm for several weeks with soapy water, with which you spray off the leaves. Special plant sticks that you simply stick into the substrate are also a great way to control aphids.

Tips
