Cutting technique

Complicated cutting rules, with which every hobby gardener desperately, are not to be feared here. In fact, not much can be done wrong with the scissors. The plant generously forgives small slip-ups. Your new shoot will soon restore its beautiful shape.

There is one thing you must not try with this plant: cutting it back radically. A third of their shoots are allowed to fall to the ground. No more! This applies to both the spring pruning and the autumn pruning.

Tips

Invest a few cut off shoots in new spice rinds. the Multiplication from semi-woody cuttings requires little effort, but offers a good chance of rooting.

If shoots suddenly have no tips, they have to sprout again. They do that several times. These branches are welcome. They enable the plant to grow more densely and thus give it a more pleasing appearance.

Of course, the cutting tool should have sharp blades so that shoots are cut off smoothly and not squashed or frayed.
