Germ glass

Let the peas soak for ten to twelve hours and place them in a germinating jar with a sieve lid. Two teaspoons per vessel are sufficient for the seedlings to get enough air. Water the seeds two to three times a day and drain off the rinse water. The ideal temperatures for quick germination are between 18 and 22 degrees, whereby you should cover the container with a cloth. The pea sprouts can be eaten after three to four days.

Cress sieve

After soaking, distribute the peas on the sieve, which is lying horizontally in a bowl. Make sure there is enough space between the seeds. Cover the receptacle with a plate so that the seeds do not dry out too quickly. Spray this two to three times a day with a little water. The first germs and roots will appear after a few days.

Sprout tower

If you want to germinate a larger number of peas, a tower made of plastic or terracotta is recommended. There are several germination trays on top of each other in a vessel. After watering, the germination seeds are evenly distributed on the levels and sprayed with water several times a day. The advantage of these towers is that excess moisture drips down into a drip tray. Put the germination vessel in a dark room or in the basement. The seeds germinate within a week, depending on the temperature.

Earth

Microgreens are often consumed without roots, so growing them in a nutrient-poor substrate makes more sense. Put the peas about two inches deep and seal the hole. They are dark germs that grow more compact in cooler temperatures. Cultivation is both on the windowsill and in the Cold frame possible on balcony or terrace.
