Possible causes and their solution

Reason 1: Unsuitable location

One possible reason - and probably the most common - is location. Although the single leaf is unanimously described as shade-friendly and also thrives in dark locations, it usually does not bloom there. The plant actually needs to develop a flower sufficient lightHowever, it should never be exposed to the blazing sun - after all, it is a rainforest plant that grows in its home in the light shade of the jungle trees. So if you suspect that the lack of bloom is due to a lack of light, so it is better to put the sheet in a lighter place - even a few centimeters can sometimes do wonders cause.

Reason 2: Insufficient or incorrect fertilization

Also a wrong one or not adequate fertilization can cause the single leaf not to bloom. As a typical rainforest plant, Spathiphyllum has a high need for nutrients, but you shouldn't be too wasteful with nitrogen. Nitrogen promotes leaf growth, which in turn occurs at the expense of the flower. As a result, the flowering stops naturally, while the foliage grows lush and green.

Fertilize It is therefore best to use the single leaf with a fertilizer for flowering plants and avoid universal or potted plant fertilizers. Blue grain is also not suitable! From time to time, however, a little coffee grounds will look great on the one-sheet.

Reason 3: incorrect watering

Another mistake that the single leaf punishes by failing to flower is watering it with cold tap water. In the rainforest there is neither cold nor hard (i.e. H. calcareous) water, because the rain pouring down there is free of lime (and therefore soft) and warm. Water the single leaf so always with warm and soft water.
