You should not replant an older beech tree. It is hardly possible to get the beech roots undamaged out of the ground without digging up the whole garden.

How to transplant a young beech tree
If the beech has only been in place for a few years, transplanting usually works better.
- Prepare a new planting hole
- Prune the beech
- Dig up the tree with as many roots as possible

Transplant beeches only during the rest period
The right time is a prerequisite for a successful beech transplant. Transplanting should only be done during the rest period.
Plant the beech therefore best in the autumn around. If necessary, you can still do the transplanting in early spring until February.
The budding of leaves and blossoms starts in March. Then the beech should no longer be transplanted.
