Leaflet record sheet

Another representative is the Fiederblättrige record sheet, also called Rodgersia pinnata. Its height is between 90 and 120 cm and in its primeval form it presents white flowers in the month of June.

Here are the best varieties with their most prominent characteristics:

  • 'Superba': pink flowers, fan-shaped leaves
  • 'Bloody Mary': dark red leaves, carmine red flowers, tolerates shade very well

  • 'White selection': creamy white flowers

Pedunculate record sheet

The pedunculated record sheet also looks good and is suitable as an ornamental plant for the garden. It is known by experts as Rodgersia podophylla and, like the other species, comes from China and Japan. Its height varies between 130 and 150 cm and in its wild form it has creamy white flowers that open in June.

These varieties are known:

  • 'Rotlaub': bright red foliage, brown-red shoots, cream-white flowers
  • 'Emerald': emerald green leaves, tall stems, creamy white flowers
  • 'Pagoda': strikingly large, serrated leaves, white flowers, and wine-red leaves in autumn

Elder-leaved record sheet

There is also the elder-leaved record sheet (Rodgersia sambucifolia). Its leaves look like those of the elder and it reaches a height of between 90 and 120 cm. Its flowers are white in the wild and appear in June. The 'red skin' variety is often found in stores. It is characterized by light pink flowers, dark red stems and dark red leaves.
