Before coloring, you should cut the cut surface at an angle of about 45 ° - this makes it easier for the plant to absorb water - and also remove all leaves. The last step is necessary to reduce evaporation - the less water that evaporates through the leaves, the more color gets into the flower.

Which colors can be used?

You can use ink very well for coloring, which is not only available in blue or black, but also in other colors. But food coloring or watercolors (from a school painting box, for example) are also very suitable. If the desired color is not included in the color selection, you can mix it yourself from the primary colors offered. The intensity of the color can be regulated by the length of the treatment: the longer you let the rose stand in the colored water, the stronger the color will ultimately be.
