Cultivate pampas grass as a single plant

You should treat particularly beautiful varieties such as pink pampas grass to a single place in the garden. It comes into its own on large lawns.

To do this, cut out a circular piece of lawn about one meter in diameter at the desired location. Even if the ornamental grass is still very small at first, it will turn into a huge, decorative ornamental shrub in a few years.

Perennial beds with pampas grass

Divide perennials that are too large

If the pampas grass gets too big over the years, dig up the rhizome and divide the plant. You can rejuvenate them right away by removing rotten parts of the roots.
