Juicing pigeons while hot - this is how it works without a juicer

If possible, use fresh fruit, wash it and let it drain well. Before you start juicing, the grapes must be sorted, which means that any specimens with pressure, rot or mold are removed. Then remove the stems.

  1. Put the grapes in a large saucepan with a little water. The grapes should swim in the water. If you have harvested a particularly large number of grapes, you have to juice in several passes.
  2. Cook the grapes until the skins pop open.
  3. Prepare a large bowl, place a fine sieve in it and cover it with a fine cheesecloth.
  4. Pour the cooked grapes into the colander.
  5. For a higher juice yield, press the pulp of the grapes through the sieve mesh with a spoon.

Juice the grapes cold

You can also squeeze a small amount of grapes into a cloth by hand and collect the juice in a bowl. This is of course exhausting and really only recommended for very small amounts.

The juicer is of course also suitable for cold juicing. With the help of a screw press or a roller, it juices fruit and vegetables in a particularly gentle way. All vitamins and nutrients are retained with this method.
Would you like to use the juicer or the slow juicer, juicing grapes, you should choose seedless grapes, as the seeds are crushed during pressing and their ingredients can get into the juice.

If you want to keep the grape juice for a long time, you have to boil the juice once and fill it hot into sterilized bottles.
