Do mothballs work against moles?

It is well known that moles see very badly, but they smell all the better. Driving away with odorants is therefore a sensible strategy to gently move the protected animal to move. However, this method has proven to be very ineffective in practice. Experience reports show a very low success rate.

Use smells against moles

Still, scenting away is a good option in and of itself. However, to have a better chance of success, there are a few things to keep in mind:

  • Combine different smells like mothballs, garlic or Butyric acid.
  • Put the home remedies directly in the hills or in the passages and then dig them up again.
  • Dig the funds into mounds or passageways at multiple points.
  • Renew the fragrant means every few days.

Tips

Use only mothballs with natural ingredients. Some products may contain chemicals, such as paradichlorobenzene or naphthalene, which can harm the animals in the soil and can also harm the mole.
