Why do beautiful mallow trees have to be cut?

There are several ways to trim back the Mallow:

Always work with gloves if you can easily do them poisonous mallow trimming. Use clean knives to avoid transmitting disease. Scissors are not suitable for cutting because they crush the stems too much.

Discharge beautiful mallow

Once a year, an all-round cut is made, during which you remove all the tips of the beautiful mallow. This keeps the plant compact and looks healthier.

The best time to de-tip is in autumn or early spring, before the plant sprouts again.

Keep the mallow in shape by cutting

Cut back before moving to winter quarters

The mallow is not hardy and must be overwintered in a suitable room in the house. If there isn't enough space, you can cut the maple in half.

Throw out the plant a little at the same time, then a possible pest infestation cannot spread so quickly.

Cut back the mallow completely

Mallow trees tolerate heavy pruning well. You can cut the plant right into the old wood without preventing it from sprouting again.

A complete pruning may be necessary if the mallow has not been cut for a long time or if severe pest infestation has occurred.

Prune roots

Mallow should be every year repotted will. The entire potting soil is exchanged.

Take this opportunity to prune the root ball. To do this, simply shorten any protruding roots.
