What should the soil be like?

Beeches do not tolerate dry soils or waterlogging. A loose soil that is moderately rich in nutrients is enough for the tree.

Tips & Tricks

Beechnuts are slightly poisonous, because they contain fagin, hydrogen cyanide and oxalic acid. You must therefore not consume larger quantities raw. Especially for children and dogs consumption can cause serious poisoning.
