Mosquito repellent

To stick with the smells, mosquito spray is also recommended. This does not mean fungicides that kill the insects (after all, only biological agents are presented here), but simple sprays that you spray on the skin. These are available over the counter in the pharmacy. Before doing this, however, you should test whether you can tolerate the drug of your choice. It is then advantageous to always wear the mosquito repellent on your body.
Alternatively, imagine your own Mosquito repellent from:

  1. Mix high percentage alcohol with water and an essential oil.
  2. At best, choose fragrances from the plants mentioned above.
  3. Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and shake the essence.
  4. Make only small quantities.

Insect screens

To prevent mosquitoes from entering the house, fly screens are a simple and effective solution. The close-meshed gauze is attached to the window frame and can be removed again in winter. High-quality products guarantee a clear view and are hardly noticeable. You can even have insect screens made to measure (with an extra charge). Specimens that are already clamped in a frame are particularly stable. Incidentally, gauze in the dimensions of a patio door are also available.

Distract mosquitoes

Mosquitoes on the Terrace or balcony can be a real nuisance. The insects only want a small piece of the sweet cake. They should get that too, but in a different place. Mix a sweet, sticky liquid (such as honey or molasses) with a little flour or cornstarch. Place the bowl in a place where the mosquitoes won't bother you.
