Two ways to juice ginger
Due to the rather small amount of ginger that you will want to juicing in most cases, hot juicing is less recommended. In addition, the ginger loses some of its vital substances when it is heated. For the more recommended cold juicing, you can use two different devices:
- Juicers: Juicers are devices that use centrifugal force to extract juice from fruits. Put the ginger unpeeled in the juicer. It is then finely ground in it fully automatically and then centrifuged. This process is very quick and guarantees a high juice yield. Since centrifugal juicers are comparatively expensive, it is worth buying if you prepare fresh juice very often.
- Juicer: In an electric juicer, the ginger is finely ground, which causes its juice to come out. This method takes a little longer than juicing in a centrifugal juicer, but it's gentler and just as efficient. You don't need to peel the ginger for juicing in the juicer either. Just cut it into large pieces and put them in the press.
If you want to prepare fresh juice from different types of fruit and vegetables, you can simply put the desired fruit together with the ginger in the juicer or juicer. In just one step you have the perfect juice mixture in your glass.
Keep ginger juice
You can use the fresh ginger juice straight away or store it in a sealable container in the refrigerator for a few days.
By the way, you can also juice ginger in advance: when frozen, it stays fresh and long-lasting for several months. Put the freshly squeezed ginger juice in an ice cube mold and put it in the freezer for a few hours. As soon as the juice cubes are frozen, place them in a lockable, freezer-safe container for further storage in the freezer.
