Nice ideas for the rose bed

In our example we assume a round or square bed. If your bed is rather elongated, you can adjust the distribution of the plants accordingly.

Lay out your herbaceous, fragrant rose bed with a Mediterranean flair as follows:

• Put one or two Climbing roses with an attractive climbing frame with pink or white flowers in the middle.
• Between and on both sides of these roses you place hardy, small cypresses.
• Around these main actors, plant a ring of pink flowering shrub roses.
• Plant purple lavender and white sage or white lavender in spots on the edge or in the corners.
• Put white or purple-flowered carpet thyme in between.

The perennial rose bed for replanting

Perennials and roses go well together because both are perennial, hardy and like nutrient-rich soil. Especially bluer delphinium and pink blooming roses are a real eye catcher.
This time we are assuming a rather elongated bed in our example, which is bordered at the rear by a hedge or a fence.

• Place several climbing roses with climbing aids or tree roses with pink, red or white flowers directly on the hedge. In between you plant blue delphinium.
• Next, put a row of lavender or white or purple bluebells.
