The selection of pea seeds is enormous and many hobby gardeners may be spoiled for choice. The variety ranges from field peas to field peas, field peas and sugar peas. The pea plants generally differ in color, shape, origin, season and of course in the harvest time.

Field peas (field peas)
- Alvesta: new breed with good yields and high protein content.
- Respect: good growth, high yield and good portage.
Marrow peas
- Excellence: new variety with excellent fruit quality; very productive.
- Grandera: robust growth and very resilient; high yields and particularly good aroma.
- Markana: extremely robust with compact growth; no climbing aid necessary; good flavor.
- Sublima: medium-late pea variety with a high sugar content; good aroma with high yields; resistant to fungal burns, powdery mildew and fusarium.
- Miracle of Kelvedon: medium early variety with good yields; the so-called miracle of Kelvedon, has asserted its place in the diverse range of varieties.

Peas
- Very early May: to harvest extremely early compared to other peas; very tasty pea with good yields.
- Blue wokker: well-tried and traditional variety from Holland; pretty purple pods; robust growth; high yield and good aroma.
- Feltham First: one of the first varieties of the year with deep green pods; compact growth; cultivation is possible without a climbing aid; good flavor.
- Early Harzerin: proven, very early variety with robust growth.
- Little Rhinelander: traditional and extremely robust variety; middle maturity; dark green pods with partly lush grains.

Sweet peas
- Ambrosia: proven German variety with quite fleshy grains; good aroma and good yields.
- Delicacies: if harvested early, the pods can still be eaten with their peel; Resistance to powdery mildew and fusarium.
- Halfway up Normand: one of the early ripe varieties with light green pods and greenish yellow grains.
- Norli: one of the more modern varieties with a very compact habit; ideal for the balcony or terrace; quite productive despite the compact growth; aromatic sugar peas.
- Vroege Hendriks: very early variety; perfect for growing in Germany.
