If you want to grow broad beans in the garden or on the balcony, a specific seed selection should be made in advance. In general, there are early, medium and late ripe varieties. For cultivation on the terrace or balcony, particularly compact, bushy forms are advantageous. In our field bean culture guide you will find all the information you need, from seeds to sowing, grain size and location through to harvest. For the earliest possible harvest time, the sowing of field beans should be started as early as the beginning of March.

Sowing the field bean seeds early allows you to harvest for the first time in the last days of May. Depending on the selected variety and of course the location, fresh broad beans can always be harvested until the end of July. You can buy field bean seeds in garden shops or from us on the Internet.
