The appearance of this special type of cabbage is beautiful and will delight the hobby gardener with delicious cabbage even in the colder months of the year. Romanesco It's easy to buy seeds online from us and it's easy to grow even young plants. The Romanesco is the somewhat different type of cauliflower, also often referred to as minaret or turret cabbage.

The varieties differ mainly in appearance, size, origin and harvest time. Below we have put together a few well-known and proven varieties that thrive well in our latitudes:

  • Romanesco: well-known, well-established variety; good growth needs a little more space about 70×70 cm; forms medium flowers.
  • Celio (F1): fast-growing variety recommended for year-round cultivation; robust with good yields.
  • Veronica (F1): new Romanesco variety for late summer or autumn cultivation; forms uniform very beautiful flowers; has a tolerance to powdery mildew; is often planted commercially.
  • white gold: Minaret cabbage for late summer or fall cultivation; uniform fairly high quality flowers; very productive and good cultivation properties.
  • Navona (F1): good variety for autumn cultivation; uniformly formed quite heavy flowers; robust in cultivation.
  • Gitano (F1): modern variety; highly recommended for autumn cultivation; compact in growth with quite high yields; high tolerance to downy mildew.
