AT A GLANCE
How to scare away a mole with sounds?
To repel a mole with noise, place pinwheels, cans, or glass bottles on metal poles in molehills or alleys so that they make noise when there is wind. This disturbs the mole and causes it to leave the area.
The mole as a beneficial creature
The mole leaves unsightly mounds on clean lawns - but that's all. Apart from this small flaw is a Mole in the garden a real blessing: Moles are great pest eaters, ensure good soil aeration and therefore good soil quality. A mole would also never tamper with your vegetable patch – it likes vegetables and roots carnivore not at all. If you find eaten roots in your garden, it is infested with a vole, not a mole. keep moles voles also far away.

Noise against the mole
If you still want to get rid of the mole, you can do this with noise: moles have very good ears and feel disturbed if it is constantly loud. You don't need to run speakers at full volume to make the mole loud. It's much easier and relatively noise-free for you. The sounds must be heard mainly underground, which can be achieved by various means:
- Plug in windmill e.g. B. from PET bottles on a metal rod in one mole hill or gait.
- Hang a can on a metal rod in such a way that it hits the rod when the wind blows.
- Place a glass bottle or can upside down on a metal stick.
- Hang other movable objects made of glass, metal or wood on metal rods in such a way that they hit the rods in the wind.
It makes sense to stick "loud" equipment on metal rods in the mounds or passages at several points so that the mole is disturbed everywhere in its burrow. Leave your mole deterrent in place for some time after the mole is gone to prevent it from coming back.
