In a nutshell

- need regular water supply
- not all plants need to be cleaned
Classic: hanging geraniums
There are hanging geraniums (Pelargonium peltatum) with single, semi-double and double flowers. In contrast to their upright growing sisters, the flowers are smaller, but hanging geraniums develop even more. Regular trimming is not necessary, especially with single-flowered varieties.
Since the hanging plants are on sunny balconies in the blazing sun, the plants are very thirsty. On extremely hot summer days, it may be necessary to water the hanging geraniums in the morning and in the evening. Make sure, however, that the substrate has dried slightly before each watering process, because the hanging plants cannot tolerate waterlogging. In addition, you shouldn't skimp on fertilizing. It is ideal if you give the flowering geraniums a portion of fertilizer every week.
