Hydrangeas and lavender create a romantic, playful overall picture in the garden. They can either be coordinated in terms of color or become an interesting appearance through contrasting colours. In terms of their demands on location and soil, however, the plants unfortunately do not go together as well.
How well do hydrangeas and lavender go together?
Many gardeners see hydrangeas and lavender as one harmoniccombination in the garden. Both plants ensure a playful romance in the bed. In particular, blue-colored hydrangeas complement the blue of the lavender in a particularly harmonious way. But planting with a contrasting pink or white flowering hydrangea also creates a harmonious overall picture.

Despite the different requirements for location, soil and care, you can plant hydrangeas and lavender together. For example, you can ensure that the hydrangea is a little better protected from the sun by the shade of the lavender. When watering, you should make sure that the water on the hydrangea is better kept, for example by a barrier. Also at Fertilize you should be careful not to spread the hydrangea fertilizer too close to the lavender. Alternatively you can use your Hydrangea also in a pot plant and place next to the lavender.
