When do flying ants appear in the lawn?

Are flying ants harmful to the lawn?

However, if the flying ants do come across an ant nest on your lawn after the nuptial flight, you can use a flower pot relocate. Fill the pot with wood shavings and put it over the nest. After a few days you can move the pot.

Use baking soda against flying ants
With baking powder or baking soda there is a home remedy available that you can also use to destroy flying ants. You do not bring pollutants into your garden. Mix the powder with honey or powdered sugar. When the ants eat the attractant, it upsets the natural metabolism in the animals' bodies, causing them to die.
