What temperature does the Anubias need?
All Anubias species come from warm regions of Africa. They therefore also need warm water in the aquarium. Values between 22 and 26 °C are ideal. Deviating temperature values between 15 and 28 °C are still tolerated. However, they should remain an exception.
How warm does the water have to be for Anubias?
Experience has shown that the ideal temperature for the Anubias in the aquarium, also called spear leaf, between 22 and 26 °C. Because the plant has its origins in tropical to subtropical areas of West and Central Africa. There, their rhizomes, and some of their leaves as well, are bathed in warm water all year round. Since she is genetically adapted to it, you must also give her this preference for warm water in your home aquarium.

Can the Anubias also tolerate slightly different temperature values?
You can Planting Anubias in an aquarium, even if the water temperature deviates from the ideal. While it may only be slightly warmer, the leeway in the direction of cold is greater.

Do all Anubias species like warm temperatures?
There are no native Anubias. All Anubias species originally come from Africa. When it comes to keeping the water temperature in the aquarium, it makes no big difference whether you have a broad-leaved spear leaf (Anubias bateri var. bateri), a caladium-leaved spear leaf (Anubias bateri var. caladifolia) or a dwarf spear leaf (Anubias bateri var. nana) own. In addition to the temperature, a pH value of between 5 and 8 must also be maintained.
How does temperature affect flowering?
Of course, only from a healthy Anubias can one blossom to be expected. Therefore, the recommended temperature is quite crucial for the Anubias to flower. However, experience has shown that it also depends on the species whether and when a blossom under water opens. In addition, flowering is favored by a high phosphate value and light.

Anubias is also ideal for warm, humid terrariums
Anubias can grow emersed, which means that it can also live above water. This property also makes them an ideal plant for a humid terrarium with a temperature of 22-26 °C. Provided, of course, that this only accommodates animals that do not eat plants.
