Can Japanese maple tolerate sun and heat?
Most Japanese maple varieties do not tolerate high heat and direct sunlight. In order to protect the maple from heat and sunburn, it should be cultivated in semi-shade, sufficiently watered and the soil used should be as moist as possible. However, some strains tolerate sun and heat better, such as Osakazuki, Butterfly, Green Globe, and Kagiri nishiki.
Can Japanese maple tolerate heat?
