Why do I have to prick out asters?
The young plants of the asters need for healthy growth lots of space. Because asters germinate very differently several seeds in a planting hole given. So that the plants do not hinder each other after germination, they must be separated. It is best to only use the strongest plants.

What do I need for pricking?
For pricking you need above all rest, so that you do not damage the seedlings at work. Before starting work, prepare the necessary accessories:
- potting soil
- prick stick
- plant pots
- watering can.
If you don't have a pricking stick, you can use a popsicle stick or a small plastic spoon.
How do I prick out asters?
When pricking you have to to act with caution. Once the seedlings have developed the first pair of leaves after the cotyledons, they must be transplanted. To do this, first fill the new pots with soil and water them well. Make a hole in the ground with the prod. The seedlings are then levered out of the cultivation vessel with the pricking stick. Make sure all roots are preserved. Put the

Asters broke about 3 weeks from seed to transplant. If you only sow the asters in April, they can be transplanted directly into the garden. Protect the young plants with some foil on frosty days until the ice saints.
