Be sure to build the Andean Berry on one warm location at. A sheltered spot in the garden in full sun is ideal. The soil should be loose, nutritious and warm up easily.
You can grow the Andean berry in the greenhouse and even cultivate it there for several years. However, under such conditions, the nightshade plant commonly forms only a small number of fruits which also taste less sweet and aromatic than the berries of plants that grow in suitable locations outdoors.

If you live in a warmer region, you can grow the Andean berry outdoors. The mild wine-growing climate, such as that found in the Upper Rhine Valley, is ideal. On the other hand, if you live in a region where there are night frosts relatively early in the year, it makes more sense to Andean berries in a pot or plant in a greenhouse.
