AT A GLANCE
How do I transplant Physalis?
About a week after germination you can prick Physalis. Using a pricking stick, loosen the seedlings from their pots and plant them in larger plant pots with potting soil around. Then pour vigorously and put in a bright place.
You can physalis about three to four weeks after sowing prick The seed usually germinate after two to three weeks - a week later the seedlings are usually large enough to be pricked out.
Note: The physalis plants can grow in the plant pots until they move to the greenhouse, for example.
Tip
Therefore potting soil is more suitable than potting soil
We recommend you, potting soil to use. Classic potting soil contains more nutrients. This can cause the young Physalis plants to shoot up too quickly and become unstable as a result. Speaking of which: In order to ensure more stability, it is best to place the plants a little deeper into the holes, because additional roots form with the stalk, which the physalis provides extra support give.
