How to grow Monstera from seeds?
The easiest way to buy Monstera seeds is online. There are different ones here species, depending on your taste. In theory, Monstera can be sown all year round, but spring and early summer are recommended.
Put the Seeds in moist potting soil and cover them lightly with the earth and set them to one warm place, ideally 25 degrees Celsius. Always keep the soil moist and avoid waterlogging. The first seedlings will appear within six weeks.

Growing seeds from your own Monstera plant is not exactly easy. Houseplants usually bear fruit only after ten years blossoms, from which the seeds are then obtained. The spadix is surrounded by a large white bract. Purple berries form on it. You should plant the still fresh seeds as soon as possible. The reason for this is that they are difficult to preserve and are not particularly cold-resistant.
How to propagate Monstera without seeds?
The most popular way to grow a Monstera multiply, is the use of Head or stem cuttings. At best, shoots are cut off with a clean knife as offshoots of the mother plant in spring or early summer. The cutting should have at least one leaf node and optimally one or more fleshy aerial roots. Place it in a water container for a few weeks and change the water regularly. Once sufficient roots have formed, the plant is ready to be planted.
Which species of Monstera are suitable for seed production?
Due to the different breeds, there are about 50 species of Monstera. There are easy-care and - more intensive species, as well as with particularly large or small leaves for less space. The most popular is the monstera deliciosa, also called delicious window leaf. It forms very large, lush green leaves and is relatively easy to care for. With the right care and sufficient brightness, the typical leaf slits form. With good care, after a few years they can develop flowers containing the sought-after seeds.

Since only the fresh seeds of the Monstera show a high germination rate, the seeds are already delivered in some potting soil. When the plants are received, it may be that they have already germinated. You should immediately plant the seedlings in well-drained soil and place them in a warm, bright place. Basically, you should always keep your Monstera moist, not wet.
