At home in the closet a few nuts, cinnamon sticks, red apples and decorative gift ribbons may be waiting. Maybe you can also borrow some colorful baubles and stars from the Christmas tree.
What is the best way to improvise?
- Start with the lights. Without them, no Advent wreath can be conjured up, even with a rich imagination. Also, the rest has to align with them. Candles of different heights are allowed in an improvisation.
- Then find a suitable base and place the candles on it.
- Place the found greenery around it, fill deeper containers completely with it.
- Distribute the decorations on top, starting with the largest or most striking pieces.

If the decoration is tight, reaching into the cookie jar also helps. Cinnamon stars, vanilla croissants and Linzer cookies conjure up a fragrant, festive atmosphere for a few days with candlelight. You don't have to wear such an Advent wreath at the end of the Advent season dispose. Candles burn down, decorations are eaten, fir trees are composted.
