In itself, every plant is suitable for border planting, the question is more whether you want to create a privacy screen through appropriate planting or not. Otherwise, smaller shrubs and flowers are also suitable. With all plants, however, it is important that they do not spread excessively, otherwise a dispute with the neighbors will quickly arise.
Hedges as border planting
Hedges are primarily used for border planting, as they offer good privacy and noise protection and can replace the fence. Especially evergreen plants like yew, boxwood or Thuja are often used for this. When designing such a hedge, the shape of the cut plays a particularly important role; it can be rectangular, trapezoidal or oval in shape. mostly become hedges cut square because that's the easiest.
