The floating leaves are strong and can be clearly distinguished from the underwater leaves. When they show up, no more underwater leaves are expelled. This allows the plant to drift close to the surface of the water and also form flowers that open at night. If you do not want a flower, you have to stop the formation of the floating leaves in good time.
