Above all Spider mites occur relatively frequently. Pests are often favored by poor site conditions.

Recognize and treat aphids on Frangipani

Aphids are found most of the year. They are easy to spot because they are on the leaves. If ant trails lead to a bucket of frangipani, be sure to check it for aphids.

Shower the plant with a strong jet of water to rinse off the aphids. Spray them with soapy water or use natural predators such as lacewing and ladybugs.

How to recognize and combat thrips

Thrips eat passages in the trunk of the frangipanis. They can seriously damage the plant and must therefore be combated. You can recognize the infestation by the winged pests on the underside of the leaves and the tunnels in the trunk.

Shower the frangipani to remove the thrips. Often only the chemical club helps. Poison sticks from the hardware store are particularly recommended here.

Eliminate whiteflies

If the leaves have small holes, this is possibly the Whitefly at work. It is comparatively harmless and can be combated by rinsing the leaves. If the infestation is severe, you should get the appropriate products from the garden center.

What can be done against spider mites?

Spider mites Like thrips, they are the most dangerous pests of the frangipani. They eat passages in the trunk so that the plant cannot develop new shoots.

Rinse off the spider mites or use chemical means to control them.

Since spider mites occur more frequently in autumn and winter, make sure that the plumeria is warm enough and that the humidity is not too low.

Tips

As with all houseplants, the Frangipani is that healthy plants cope better with a pest infestation than an already weakened plumeria. Therefore, pay attention to the correct one care.
