Most Fuchsias are not winter hardy. Century - since then fuchsias have also been bred in Germany - there are some reasonably hardy (but mostly not frost-hardy) varieties. These can be planted out, but usually require winter protection. Recommended varieties are, for example:

- "Beacon"
- "Delicate Purple"
- "Dollar princess"
Basically, there are many varieties of Fuchsia magellanica, especially Fuchsia magellanica var. gracilis, hardy.
Suitable fuchsias for tall trunks
Many varieties of fuchsia go very well raise to high stems, for which there are particularly suitable varieties. These include a.

Tips
Just as not all of the numerous fuchsia species are winter hardy, not every one is suitable for any location. Some fuchsias prefer a rather sunny location, while others prefer a partially shaded to shady location.
