What is the concept of Feng Shui?

The approaches of the Far Eastern Feng Shui philosophy are based on the thesis that a happy life depends on the balance of the five elementary forces fire, earth, wood, metal and water. Only when these elements are in balance can the positive life energy Chi flow freely.

Including bagua zones in the garden design - this is how it works

Draw a floor plan that takes into account the division of your garden into the nine Bagua zones. Smaller missing areas or overlaps can be tolerated as long as the entire area largely fits. Now you can let your creativity run free to design the individual regions. The following tips serve as a suggestion:

• Fame: one Fireplace, fragrant roses or lilacs, lamps and stone lanterns
• Family: Seat with a wooden bench, a fountain, vigorous plants such as bamboo or buddleia
• Children: play equipment, sandpit, berry bushes, round shaped book trees, small snack garden with vegetables
• Partnership: square beds with red and yellow flowers, a rock garden or cottage garden
• Wealth: wooden bucket with Geraniums or rose stems, a fountain as a source of water
• Knowledge: plants in the colors yellow, orange and brown, an arbor as a seat, Gravel bed or rock garden
• helpful friends: small sitting area, yellow gold flowers, like Daffodils, metal chimes
• Tai Chi center: gravel surfaces, statues or a spiral of herbs as an eye-catcher

If you lay out your garden according to Feng Shui, it must not appear overloaded. Flowing transitions and recurring colors create calm and serenity in the appearance.
