Plan rock garden
- Before the Planting the perennials any weeds need to be carefully removed. In particular root weeds such as nettle, ground elder, Couch grass or winds you have to fight consistently.
- Waterlogging is to be avoided at all costs. Give the selected area for your rock garden a drainage layer made of coarse gravel.
- A mixture of sand, gravel and earth forms the perfect substrate.
- Use stones that are found in the area. It is advisable to use a uniform stone material in order to achieve a harmonious overall picture. Larger boulders are very attractive: you can lean higher perennials decoratively against them.
- Speaking of perennials: of course, you have to choose plants that can cope with powerful sun and drought or even long for it. It is also nice when the perennials ensure a blaze of color until autumn.
