Pour the cooled solution into a spray bottle or into a Pressure sprayer. Preferably distribute the mixture in all dark, cool and damp places in the garden. For complete effectiveness, freshen up the lemon water after every downpour, as long as it is tick season.

Indirect control leads to success - this is how it works

If your garden is afflicted by ticks, the parasites have mostly found their way onto the site piggyback on various host animals. The dismay of their main hosts has therefore emerged as one of the most effective methods in successful tick control. Mice,

Rabbits, Moles and other rodents flee when repellants are used on the market. These are mainly based on lavadin oil, which attacks the fine noses.

Tick rolls work selectively

The idea is brilliant and has at least one of the main hosts with resounding success. Tick rolls are filled with treated nesting material for Mice. These are placed in different places in the garden. The mice take out the nesting material and pad their nests. In doing so, they absorb the active ingredient and the ticks are destroyed. This clever method for combating ticks thus interrupts the circulation in the event of an infestation with the bloodsuckers. Tick rolls have no effect on any other host.

Tips for effective prevention

So that you don't have to struggle with a complex tick control in the first place, there are effective options for prevention. How to keep the dangerous bloodsuckers out of your garden:

  • Mow the lawn twice a week in summer
  • Cut back shrubs and trees in each late winter and thin them out
  • Surround the garden with a gravel or gravel-filled ditch as a walking barrier

Ticks do not feel comfortable in a sun-drenched, airy and dry garden. By getting rid of all dark, cool, and damp corners, you will ward off a tick infestation before it emerges.

Tips

Operate a Fire pit in the garden, cunning ticks use the pile of firewood as a hiding place. If damp, dark conditions prevail here, the bloodsuckers feel at home here and multiply explosively. Therefore, stack firewood in the garden in an airy, light and dry storage area.
