A ray aralia in bloom - a rare sight
In the perfect location and under ideal care conditions, it can happen and the ray aralia forms flowers. However, this is rarely the case in this country. Usually this houseplant does not find optimal conditions.

When is the flowering time?
If this Houseplant declared ready to bloom, it does so in the warm season. Usually their flowers are formed then out between the end of June and the beginning of August.
Flowers are exhausting
the Schefflera sacrifices an incredible amount of strength to develop its flowers. It can then be severely weakened and even lose leaves. If you don't want to take the risk, remove the inflorescences before the flowers open!
Characteristics of the flowers
The flowers of the ray aralia have the following characteristics, among others:
- cling to the new shoots
- stand upright to slightly sloping
- secrete sticky nectar
- racemose inflorescence
- Length of the inflorescence: up to 30 cm
- elongated narrow form of the inflorescence
- hermaphroditic, radial symmetry single flowers
- double flower envelope
- five to eleven petals
- yellowish-green to yellow-white color
Tips
If you don't want the Schefflera to lose any more vigor by developing its fruits and seeds, consider the flowers after they have wilted cut off.
