From the dwarf shrub to the giant deutzia

The amount of Deutzien is quite different. Some dwarf varieties are just 80 centimeters when fully grown. They tower over other varieties by four meters.

Small varieties are especially good for Hedges or keeping it in the bucket is suitable. Large varieties of Deutzia cut a fine figure as an eye-catcher in the garden.

The different flower colors and shapes

The predominant color of the Deutzia flowers is white. There is now a whole range of varieties with pink and even red flowers. The flowers can be filled and unfilled. Some deutzia flowers give off a light, very pleasant scent, while others have no scent at all.

The flower shapes also vary. Some Bushes bloom in long panicles that curve downwards. But there are also Deutzias whose flowers appear in clusters.

Tips

They don't poisonous deutzia are very robust and easy to care for. Diseases are virtually unknown. The only pest that is more common is the lilac moth. She lets herself with Neem oil fight if the infestation is very strong.
