Bromeliad is not poisonous - with one exception
Careful home gardeners usually approach a bromeliad with protective gloves so as not to injure themselves on the spiked edges of the leaves. Additional precautionary measures are not to be observed, as the tropical jewelery does not contain any toxic ingredients. On the other hand, if you succeed in getting a pineapple breed, the only exception of a slight poisonous content applies in the realm of the bromeliads:

Before you eat a pineapple fruit, please check the degree of ripeness. A ripe fruit gives off an aromatic scent. Its leaves are green and lush. Ideally, individual leaves can be pulled out of the foliage without exertion. As a precaution, also subject pineapples from the store to this test. On the plantations, the fruits are generally harvested unripe and treated with ethylene for the ripening process during transport. Of course, this plan does not always work.
