Recognizing mature offshoots - tips on the characteristics
The joy is great when one Amaryllis bulb presented with small offshoots. If you separate mother and daughter onions too prematurely, hopes for a strong, young knight star will be dashed. You can use these characteristics to identify the perfect time:
- A vital bulb is more than 3 cm in diameter
- The previously creamy white tuber is covered with a thin, brown skin

- Just grow your own amaryllis - this is how it works with seeds and bulbs
- Propagate the baobab tree easily: with seeds or cuttings
- Simply potting amaryllis - this is how it works without a fuss
It is also advantageous if an offshoot already has its own root strands. The better the separation from the parent tuber is coped with.

Cut off a ripe daughter onion with a clean, sharp knife. The cuts are covered with a little bit of charcoal dust or Rock flour(€ 12.33 at Amazon *) pollinated. Cactus soil in equal parts, enriched with Perlite(€ 39.50 at Amazon *) or Lava granules.(€ 14.00 at Amazon *) How to proceed:- Fill the growing pot two thirds full with substrate
- Place the broiling onion in it so that only half of it is covered with soil

Your pupil will stay in the partially shaded location with ideal temperatures between 18 and 20 degrees Celsius until the beginning of the flowering period. At the same time as the first bud sprouts, the knight's star then takes its place on the sunny windowsill. The amount of irrigation water is increased in proportion to the growth. Please do not apply the first fertilizer until the green leaves sprout.
Tips
The seeds for propagation through sowing can also be obtained from knight star cut flowers. To do this, leave the bouquet as long as possible in the vase stand until the flowers have wilted completely and the seed pods are slightly open. Please put on gloves first before harvesting the poisonous seeds.
