Early, medium and late varieties of savoy cabbage
The main difference between the individual varieties lies in when the savoy cabbage is sown and harvested. Early savoy cabbage varieties can be brought forward from February and outdoors from April planted will. Late varieties, on the other hand, are sown in summer and can be harvested into winter. Depending on the harvest time, we also speak of summer, autumn or winter savoy cabbage. The cultivation time also differs a little depending on the variety: Early varieties need around 13 to 26 weeks to develop, while late varieties take 26 to 40 weeks significantly longer.
