Please note that winter temperatures between five and ten degrees are ideal. If it is warmer, the jasmine will not bloom for the next year.
Zimmer-Jasmin also has to go to winter quarters
If you have your jasmine in the house all year round maintain, you still have to look for winter quarters for the plant.
In the normal living room it is far too warm for the climbing plant in winter. She needs a cool phase for her to develop new flowers.
Set the Jasmine in the pot in a light, airy place from November to March. Bright cellars, corridor windows or a cool greenhouse are well suited. Winter temperatures should be around ten degrees and by no means higher.
Care during the winter
Keep the soil only moderately moist. The jasmine is not fertilized or cut during the winter.
Make sure that the plant is airy and open a window on frost-free days.
Tips
If the jasmine has grown too tall in summer, you will need to prune it back before overwintering. Do this carefully because the more you do cutthe less the jasmine will bloom afterwards.
