Only cut flowers that are half open. Fully open flowers only last a very short time in the vase.
How do you prepare the sunflowers for the vase?
Cut the stems of the Sunflower two to three centimeters below so that they can store enough oxygen.
Dip the ends in boiling water for a maximum of five seconds. Under no circumstances should you leave the stems in the water for longer.
