Which types of natural stone are suitable for building a fireplace?

How to build a fireplace with natural stones
It takes about two to three days to build a fireplace. So it is best to plan a weekend with nice weather - rainy, damp weather could later become problematic due to the penetrating moisture, and the mortar dries afterwards worse.
