Repot the poinsettia every year
A Christmas star you should repot every year, even if the pot has not yet become too small. The ideal substrate for poinsettias consists largely of peat, which decomposes over the course of the year. The soil should therefore be replaced regularly.

If you can continue to use the old pot, clean it thoroughly before you plant the poinsettia again. Even new pots should be completely clean so that none of them Germs or fungal spores can spread.
The best time to repot

Care after repotting

Tips
