Wintering in and out at the right time
Both for wintering after summer and for wintering after the wintering phase, one thing is decisive: Father Frost. He can finish off the angel's trumpet in one night. You have to use it as a guide with regard to the right time to get into the house and to sit down - each year is of course different. When the first frost sets in in autumn and when the last danger of frost is averted in spring varies.
So pay close attention to the weather forecast in autumn and save the angel's trumpet into the warm in good time in the event of critical temperature announcements.
In spring, the frost line can be tricky. In some years it is already over in March with any danger of frost - sometimes it can be the month April will be wonderfully sunny and warm, so that the angel's trumpet is already well outside can. In May, however, the famous ice saints threaten with last nights of frost. So be attentive at that time and follow the weather report. If you want to be on the safe side, just put the angel's trumpet outside only after the ice saints at the end of May.
Put out depending on the wintering quarters
What you should also consider when putting it out are the circumstances under which you have overwintered the angel's trumpet. If it was rather bright and warm during the winter months, you should only put it out when the climate has become stable and mild. If, on the other hand, you have overwintered them in a cool, dark place or in a greenhouse, you can overwinter them a little earlier - but there is also a strict ban on frost.
